How
do Thera:Vie Gloves and Booties work?
The polyethylene glove or bootie acts as a carrier for the Thera:Vie
serum. Because the polyethylene is non-breathable (occlusive), Thera:Vie
serum permeates directly into the skin. Thera:Vie serum releases its
active ingredients (hazelnut, safflower, & grapeseed oil along with
Vitamins A&E) into the skin when in contact with its natural heat. In as
little as 20 minutes, the skin is infused with softeners, vitamins and
essential fatty acids
How long should
the gloves/booties be worn? For a single treatment, gloves
or booties should be worn for at least 20 minutes. For continuous
moisturizing, they may be worn at all the times. Since Thera:Vie serum
is anhydrous (does not contain water), it will not promote microbial
growth.
How often
should the gloves/booties be worn? If using as a
personal hand or foot treatment, recommended use is two to three times
per week for maximum benefit or whenever your skin feels particularly
dry.
What is serum?
Serum is defined as " a liquid that is used as a therapeutic
agent. " With regard to skin moisturizers, the term “serum” is reserved
for substances that are of the highest and purest quality.
If I use the
gloves/booties again, would it be sanitary? Yes it
would. Because the serum is anhydrous (does not contain water), it
doesn’t offer an environment for bacterial growth. The gloves may be
worn as long as there is serum left in the glove or bootie.
